About Me
My work focuses on delivering business value by figuring out what people need and seeing that they get it. Over the course of my career, I have written and delivered a number of successful software applications.
In one capacity or another, I have done things as diverse as facilitating vision and scope definition, gathering requirements and recommending solutions, liaising between stakeholders and engineers, prototyping, and creating user manuals, product management, change management and mentoring. As well as, of course, writing code.
Motivating success throughout an entire software development process requires a passion for getting the product delivered, and empathy for everyone involved. It also requires a diverse combination of hard and soft skills: understanding the business reasons to create a product, interviewing users, stakeholders and engineers, functional and technical design, programming, quality assurance, change management, risk management, training, documentation, and more.

Demonstrated Competencies
New Hampshire Housing and Finance Authority, Analyst/Senior Programmer
Identified security flaw in company check writing system allowing for disbursement files to be edited outside of controls. Researched, documented, proposed and implemented security measures that included secured directories and control hashtags embedded in batch files for verification. Resulting in 100% lock-down of check writing system and prevention of fraud or tampering.
Staples Inc., Senior Programmer/Analyst
Evaluated commercial install software for releasing version update to in house software development. Documented functionality, scope, and process flow for install program. Developed test data, plans and success criteria. Introduction of automated install process eradicated CRC errors, lost data due to program crashes and ensured all users ran correct version.
